One of the first songs I wrote for my album Transcend is ‘Captivated’. The song is about pursuing the people, places, and things in life that you find beautiful and captivating. Musically it starts off in G minor playing a repeated pattern in the left hand. Then the melody comes in over the top. It’s a blend of modern and classical influences. I really love some of the faster descending and ascending runs in this song. It’s a lot of fun to play.
