Night blooming Jasmine is a pleasant and fragrant flower native to tropical and warmer climates especially around the equator. I have one song in my catalog that’s reflective of this.
‘Moonlight & Jasmine’ is the 6th track from my album ‘Transcend’. Musically the song in the key of D minor, but if you’ve been paying attention to my posts about modes, you’ll notice the opening of the song is in D Dorian 🙂 In fact much of the song utilizes the D Dorian scale. The song also uses exotic progressions/patterns reflective of the places that night blooming Jasmine usually grows. In particular the use of the D Dorian scale to E flat to the D Major scale.
