Summers in Tennessee are beautiful. One of my favorite things to do is sit out on the back porch and watch the fireflies dance on the summer breeze and see the magic unfold with the tiny orbs glowing all around. I was so inspired I wrote a song called ‘Firefly Light’.
Musically I also wanted to create something that would create the imagery of random glows of light surrounding two people in love embracing each other, looking deeply and lovingly into each others eyes. A lover’s embrace illuminated by the intermittent soft glow at dusk.
This is also one of the few songs that isn’t strictly solo piano. It includes a sweeping string section that soars over the piano. I really love this song. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
